Amite County

Author Paul Jackson Jr.'s roots begin in Amite County, Mississipppi, where he was born. His family moved to Clinton, Louisiana, twenty-five miles south of Liberty, Mississippi, just as World War II ended. Jackson s stories are backed with information gleaned from letters his father wrote while serving in World War II and his own from Vietnam. With photos included, Amite County offers a historical look into one family s origins and presents the stories of their lives.
