In addition, the book offers essential and healing insights gleaned from the Hebrew Bible and current psychological thought on grief and bereavement. The overarching theme of this uplifting proposal is that, even in the midst of grief--perhaps especially so--God is near to the mourner, and that it is the grieving spirit that can lead an individual to a healing encounter with God.
