Podrobné informácie

Johann Wolfgang Goethe, German poet, novelist and philosopher, says "Architecture is "frozen music"... Really there is something in this; the tone of mind produced by architecture approaches the effect of music." Goethe's idea suggests that human's need to express is the driving force behind all processes of creation and invention; which could be viewed as either a new idea, or an evolution of a pre-existing concept, or an abstract creation. A more apt description of this concept could be how an architect may "paint" using building materials whereas a composer will "construct" using vibrations. With the understanding of the common elements and similarities between the two forms of arts, such as balance, harmony and rhythm, does one art influence the other, if yes, then how can this knowledge be applied into a regional study. Can music influence the architecture of a region, or it is merely a foreign idea.
