Group Theory

Helmut Wielandt (born 1910) is one of the most prominent mathematicians which this century has produced. He has done work in such divergent areas as algebra, analysis and aerodynamics. A field of special emphasis in his scientific work is that of group theory, an area whose development he has decisively influenced. This first volume contains all works relating to group theory as well as selected lectures, which were held by the author at universities in Germany and the USA and which were - until now - only available as typewritten copies. The classic "Finite Permutation Groups", which had gone out of print, is also included in this volume.
