Ukraine

Following on from the first review of Ukraine's environmental condition undertaken in 1999, this second review measures the subsequent progress made by the country in managing its environment and highlights future environmental challenges. Issues covered include: policymaking, planning and implementation; the financing of environmental policies and projects; the integration of environmental concerns into economic sectors and the promotion of sustainable development; compliance and enforcement mechanisms; economic instruments and environmental funds; and environmental management energy, industry and transport activities and land management.
