Good for Nothing

Overweight and weak-willed, Flip Mellis has a self-fulfilling fatalism which leads him to stumble through each day, hoping that he can get a job, mend his marriage and rebuild his life. But in the space of a week, his encounters with characters from American small-town life get in the way of Flip's well-meaning attempts to reform himself.
