Between language and relationship

The psycho-social skills of professionals form an essential basis for successful educational processes. They enable a sensitive perception of children's needs and a reflective approach to the professional handling of emotional expressions and individual developmental processes of children in early childhood from 2 to 6 years of age. The focus is on the quality of relationships and communication as a fundamental dimension of early childhood education. Children develop their social and emotional skills in interaction with reliable caregivers and in exchange with their peers. Diversity is not seen as a challenge, but rather as a central resource of educational practice, and this edition also contains the results and discussion of a study in an elementary educational context. It examines the long-term effects of psycho-social interventions on linguistic and social-emotional development as well as quality characteristics and cross-disciplinary relevance and action components, including their opportunities and risks.
