STEP...by...STEP

James Thornton is a Stroke Survivor, Stroke Survivor Advocate, Mentor and now an Author. On June 5, 2018 he suffered a massive stroke. Found on his floor more than some 20 hours after, he was rushed to the hospital where the prognosis was grim. He was not expected to ever walk or talk or write again. It's called &quote;Global Aphasia&quote;. So, writing for him truly is a gift from God. A former college football player who pursued a professional career, he became an executive with various firms, including the NFL, James is a &quote;global citizen&quote; who has lived and worked in over 15 countries. He was on the &quote;go&quote; all the time as an executive and as a speaker. He always had lots of questions about God and life, and then something happened which forced him to slow down - a Stroke. Even though his body was in great shape, his brain was not. This book is a collection of James' short writings telling of the &quote;Journey&quote; he is on now. Sharing his &quote;struggles and success&quote; in getting back all he can each day to encourage and inspire you. ?His inspiration is his wife and caregivers Lisa Showe. She has been there for him always and he loves her for this. Lisa and James live in Columbus, Ohio and have 3 sons Carson, Harry and Pierce with an extending family all over the world. This is written to Caregivers and Stroke Patients trying to best they can because everyone is a &quote;Survivor&quote; in life.
