Detailed information

Interest in EV technology is on the rise as more people learn about the environmental benefits of EVs, and the global EV fleet is likely to expand fast in the coming years. This is for constant improvement in their charging infrastructure, especially wireless charging systems designed for private, commercial, and public uses that can power both private homes and public charging stations. This thesis constructed, tested, and assessed a 600W resonant IPT battery charging system. The IPT system models coupling coil configuration and mutual inductance. First, self and mutual inductances (MI) are accurately calculated. Neuman's approximation equation is utilized for spiral circular and spiral square coils. Finally, as part of the research, a resonant inductive wireless charging system was devised, built for a vertical distance of 100 mm and delivering the power of 576W. Receiver rectifier AC terminals to transmitter AC terminals inverter resonant circuit efficiency measured at 88.66%. If the cooling system is adequate, the arrangement can offer substantially higher output power.
