Photocolourimetric Methods

One problem in Mexico and Latin America is the economic need, so in many universities there is no capital to buy experimental equipment. If the professors do nothing, most of the time the students do not have the opportunity to carry out laboratory practices. Therefore, the present book focuses on the construction of a photocolorimeter as a device that enables students to develop the skills required in the area of analytical chemistry. Low-cost materials are established so that they are accessible to all, and the chemical reagents for each practice are basic for a laboratory and easily accessible.A photocolourimeter is a device that allows the determination of the chemical concentration of a compound in a solution based on the absorption of a portion of the electromagnetic radiation in a sample when light passes through the sample at a certain wavelength.
