ECOOP2002washeldinMal 'aga,Spain,fromJune10thtoJune14th2002. Asusual,theworkshopstookplaceduringthe?rsttwodaysoftheconference andgaveauthorsandparticipantsanopportunitytopresentanddiscussideas thataretopicalandinnovativeinobject-orientedtechnology,inanatmosphere thatfosteredinteraction,exchange,andproblemsolving. ECOOP2002hosted19high-qualityworkshopscoveringalargespectrumof researchtopicsrelatedtoobject-orientedtechnology. Thisyear,theseworkshops wereselectedfrom25proposalsbytheworkshopselectioncommittee,prim- ilyinaccordancewiththeirscienti?cmeritandtheirprobabilityofgenerating livelydiscussion. Thisvolumecontainsthereportsofthose19workshops. Each chaptercoversoneworkshop,summarizingthecurrentresearchbeingcarried outintheworkshoptopic,themajorissuesdiscussed,themainconclusions, andpossibledirectionsforfurtherresearch.
