Elinor Porter is an American children''s writer and novelist. The book about Pollyanna, published in America in 1913, immediately gained incredible popularity and was published in millions of copies. In 1915, the second book about Pollyanna appeared, "Pollyanna Grows Up". She, too, was greeted by readers with great enthusiasm.
