Introducing Vertical Storage System for Inventory management

Atlas Copco is a multinational company. The main difficulty faced by the company was space management of the shop floor for machine assemblies. All the raw material was piled up and being stored along the floor of the shop floor. With the technique introduced in this research, the height of the shop floor was being considered and instead of storing the raw material along the floor, the use of height of shop floor area was made and a vertical storage machine was introduced. This helped in increasing the floor space for assembly from 35% to 70%.
