Mikhail Bulgakov

'The City of Kiev'' - is a fascinating essay by the famous Russian writer, playwright and theatrical personage Mikhail Afanasyevich Bulgakov (1891 - 1940). Bulgakov was born in Kiev, he left Kiev and lived in Moscow. These are his memories about the travel to his native city, in which he describes the streets and houses of it, destroyed by the war, tells about the local sights, churches and, of course, about the citizens of Kiev, their traditions and habits.
