William Wisting has encountered grotesque murders before.

Nonetheless, he finds the savagely beaten corpse in a holiday cottage on the Vestfold coast particularly disturbing.

Then the body is stolen.

His daughter Line, finally leaving a dangerous relationship, decides to stay in one of the cottages near the area. It isn’t long before she finds another body.

As Wisting works the case, he finds that the deaths are only the tip of the iceberg in a sophisticated criminal operation involving burglary, drug dealing and money laundering.

There will be more bodies, and a dangerous journey into organised crime for Wisting before the case reaches its breath-taking conclusion.
