Birds are the precious gift of almighty Allah and they are the charming creatures, attract the people to their colorful plumages, parental care, flight, outlandish migration, sweet voices, springtime songs, games and having most economic value in respect of food and game. They are considered as the main driving force agents in seed dispersal and cross-pollination of certain trees throughout the world. But the avifauna includes a total of (786) species throughout Pakistan of which (39) species are accidental species. Aves are a carrier of many pathogenic agents. Jungle babbler, Turdoides striata (Dumont de Sainte, 1823) is a member of the Leiothrichidae family, old-world passerine found in the Indian sub-continent, in Pakistan, Sri Lanka, India, and Bangladesh. They are gregarious birds that forage in a small group of 5-12 birds with a dull, earth-colored bird with a strong but slender yellow bill. They stay close to the ground, hunting for insects especially Date palm orchards and a variety of crops on the fallen leaves. They have weak flight and are generally terrestrial, considered beneficial to agro-ecosystem as they devour voraciously on insect matter.
